In
an effort to help the children get to know one another, I am asking each family
to help your child with 2 things for their week to share!
1. Make a poster all about
your child! Pictures can be collected that represent things they like (foods,
sports, or TV shows) and interesting facts (where they were born, how many
family members, or pets) can be glued on their poster! It can be decorated as
you wish! No rules apply!
2. Make a “show and tell”
bag! Find a giftbag and have your child put in 3-5 small items that are special
to him/her (family photo, pet photo, vacation photo, favorite book, favorite
toy). If the item does not fit in the
bag, please find a smaller item!
Your
child will share their things with the class throughout their week to help
build language skills and so we can learn more about him/her. Many different
literacy activities will be done also such as the “Name cheer”!
This
name cheer will not only allow us to become friends but will also help learn
letters and sounds of the alphabet, learn correct letter formation and increase
writing knowledge!
