November 14

Dear Families,
Happy Friday! Thank you all for food drive donations this week! We really appreciate your generosity!
We talked about the letters j and p and came up with a list of words that start with these letters!
We looked at pictures and wrote the letter that the pictures start with. This is called finding initial consonants. This was really difficult for some of our kids today. Please look over these sheets and work on this skill regularly. For example, when riding in a car, say a word of something you see and ask what does this word start with?
Today was a fun day ending our week learning about pumpkins. We used real pumpkins to weigh and compared them in different ways!
We also sequenced pictures of a pumpkin being carved into a jack-o-latern!
We went to library and got a new book!
Have a great weekend!

Reminder:
Don't forget next Thursday, Nov. 20th is our Math/Literacy Night! We hope you can make it!

Dear Families,
We had a good day!
Since it was a busy day back I told the class that I would send an email out for us!

We will talk about the five senses this week. Today we focused on our sense of touch! Students had fun feeling different objects I brought from home and describing how they felt!

In blue folders, I sent a sheet of paper with the title I am thankful for for homework. Students can draw a picture of something they are thankful for or glue a picture on it. I will hang these on a bulletin board in our room so we can see what our friends are thankful for!
